The Olowo of Owo kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye has joined the league of your a monarchs who have declared their support for the aspiration of Asiwaju Bola TINUBU to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the APC.
Oba Ogunoye spoke while receiving leadership and members of SWAGA at his Owo palace today.
Olowo said, “We’ve heard the news about our son, Tinubu. We are grateful to you (SWAGA) that you saw something good and you are ready to support.
“Nigeria needs someone who knows about its problems and the solutions to it.
“The person you have brought to us is someone we really need in Nigeria but we know the Southwest will not be the only region to contest
“Yoruba land is different from everywhere else because if any of our child is contesting, we check if he’s capable or not before we support him
“Tinubu is capable, connected and has the requisite knowledge about Governance. We saw the wonders he did in Lagos.
“He has the knowledge to rule Nigeria and we know he’s going to win.
“Many kings have approved it and I can assure you that he has our total support in Owo.
“I know Tinubu will help to restructure Nigeria by introducing true Federalism as it is practiced. Tinubu is the right person
“Controlling the Police from Abuja is a wrong idea. The states should also have their own police, even the local governments too.
“If our people are united in Nigeria, there is a lot of gains for us as a country.
“We trust Tinubu to help us on this because he has proved himself with Lagos and I pray that he will rule the country in good health,” Olowo said.
Tinubu is not a ‘eat alone’ politician
In Akoko, some of the monarchs gathered at the palace of the Olubaka Oka Akoko, where Oba Adebori Adeleye, said track records of Asiwaju Tinubu have made his aspiration to be easier to pursue.
Oba Adeleye said, “Tinubu has made it easy for anyone to support him with the work he has done in Lagos. He has raised many leaders as well
“He is not a ‘eat alone’, he lifts others. As you have said, by the grace of God, we will also stand with him (Tinubu)
“We will continue to pray for him. We know he is accomplished already, he is not looking for the money but to work for the country.
“Like others who have endorsed the project, we will also support the project. We will not be left behind.
“We support and endorse the project to make Tinubu the President of Nigeria in 2023.”
