A sports Reporter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, in Ondo state, Isaac Afolabi has been conferred with an award of Sports Ambassador by CFAS Sports Global Institute Akure, Ondo state; SUNSHINETRUTH can report.
During the award presentation in Akure, the director of the institution and a CAF licensed coach Rev. Oluwaferanmi Olarewaju said the award was in recognition of Mr Isaac Afolabi’s passion, sacrifices and reporting of sporting activities, development in the state and nation at large.
Rev. Olarewaju who noted that he has been monitoring the sports news report, presentations and the development of BLITZIK SPORTS, a non governmental organization facilitated by Mr Isaac Afooabi whose aim is to development sports and encourage talents to embrace sports and education, said the yearly event has impacted lives of sportsmen and women especially kids to discover their hidden talents.
Rev.Oluwaferanmi Olarewaju further used the medium to charge government and other organizations to partner individuals/experts with legitimate based sports circle to help in developing talents in the country.
Responding, Mr Isaac Afolabi while appreciating the recognition said government is yet to identify the enormous advantages in sports which he noted has the ability to engage youths, improve health and earn the state and nation huge revenue if well attended to.
Mr Afolabi who is the facilitator of BLITZIK SPORTS said the organization will continue to pass its messages to everyone and improve on its yearly sporting activities in all sports.
Afolabi who is also the Assistant Secretary of Sports Writer Association of Nigeria, SWAN Ondo state chapter, however pledged not to relent in investing in sports and human development and rendering services as good ambassador of sports.
