The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG in Ondo Province 6 of Mercy Tabernacle Zone in Akure on Saturday, 10th July, 2021 threw their women congregation into varying skills for empowerment.
The skills cover the production of Tiger nut Milk, Sobo drink, Kulikuli, Meat pie and Pie nut among others.
The empowerment is necessary in the face of the present day pressing economy and in acting positively to the biblical injunction that the lord will bless whatever we lay our hands upon.
The initiator of the idea, A/P Mrs Abigail.A.Ojo, wife of the Pastor in-charge of the zone, opined that the time has come that idleness must be addressed squarely so as to replicate the will of God in our lives.
In his charge to the women at the ceremony, Pastor Samuel Ojo appreciated the women leaders for this laudable idea and which is part of our ministry on caring.
He said that the hands that do not work must not eat and in order to complement and improve our finances we need to lay our hands on things that are positive and rewarding.
The Pastor admonished them to make good use of this golden opportunity for their benefits.
The empowerment training was well attended and it is hoped that the impacted skills would open their eyes into tapping viable opportunities that will increase their financial standing.
Also in attendance is Prof (Pastor) F. Olurankinse, an Area Pastor in Mercy Tabernacle of RCCG, Mercy Tabernacle zone in Ondo Province 6, under Provincial Pastor Pastor Joseph A. Akinrodoye as the Pastor in charge of the Province.
