Eld-el-kabir: I believe prayers can restore Nigeria —Reps member Akinjo

………HON. KOLADE AKINJO FELICITATES MUSLIM FAITHFUL, URGES THEM TO EMBRACE THE SPIRIT OF GODLINESS AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE.

He called on the Muslim brothers to harness their prayers in one voice to God for the restoration of peace and stability in the country at a time the country is plunged into fierce security and economic doldrums.

In his statement, “Though our country has never been in such a hapless situation before and probably the worst days we have seen since the inception of democracy in Nigeria. As an individual, I believe in the power of restoration through prayers and vibrant political disposition, we shall overcome”.

He therefore harped on the need for our Muslim brothers and sisters more than ever before to carry on the spirit of godliness, commitment to common good and peaceful coexistence in line with the tenets of Islam as epitomised by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the actualisation of a better Nigeria devoid of religious or ethnic animosities.

Similarly, he urged the celebrants to merry with modesty while observing all Covid19 protocols in order to mitigate the spread of the pandemic especially as a new variant has now recently been discovered in Nigeria.

On his final address, the honourable member prayed for all of us to live together to celebrate more of the season as one people blessed by Allah, Himself (Amen).
