The Olowa and Paramount Ruler of Igbara-Oke kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, wishes to felicitate and congratulate the Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir. He urged them to use the significance of the season to pray for the continued peace of our dear country, Nigeria.





Oba Agbede also reiterates the need for the Muslims faithful to continue to imbibe the spirit of godliness and peaceful coexistence in order to help renew their faith in God and to see the importance of peace and unity towards the development of our nation.





He said this period gives another opportunity to seek the face of Almighty Allah and to intercede in prayers for our nation to overcome all the challenges confronting us. According to him, as citizens, we should rededicate ourselves to the service of humanity and in making a meaningful progress towards a greater Nigeria.





The monarch enjoined them to pray for the leaders in the positions of authority so as to lead in the fear of God.





While stressing the need to imbibe continually the lessons in the submission to the will of Allah (SAW) by the prophets, he therefore appealed to them to use the season to forgive and love one another.

EID-EL-KABIR: FOSTER PEACE,COHESION AND UNITY,AKINRIBIDO URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AS MUSLIMS CELEBRATE SALLAH.





The honourable member representing Ondo West constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Tomide Akinribido has urged the federal government of Nigeria to encourage peaceful co-existence across the country through its policies,programs and general activities.





In a Sallah message which was released by his media aide on the occasion of the Muslims’ festival of Eid-el Kabir, Hon. Tomide Akinribido enjoined the Nigerian government to show greater zeal in promoting unity and justice and de-escalate the current tension among the various ethnic groups in the country.





While noting that the country is currently on a critical socio-political crossroad with a prostrate economy,Hon. Akinribido opined that government must look inwards and figure out effective ways by which security of lives and properties can be enhanced and employment opportunities generated for the teeming masses.





Hon. Akinribido also felicitated with Muslims nationwide and particularly the muslim community in his constituency,while urging the Muslim Ummah to be worthy ambassadors of the faith by exemplifying all of the virtues that distinguished Prophet Mohammed.





“I extend warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir Sallah festival. As Muslims savour the joy of the occasion,I call on them to demonstrate the spirit of tolerance, unity, love, forgiveness and mercy”, the statement added.

Akinyelure Greets Muslims On Eid-el-Kabir, Distributes Rams, Rice To Muslim Community





The Senator representing Ondo Central in the Red Chamber and Senate Committee Chairman on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure, FCA, has felicitates with all Muslims in Nigeria, particular his constituents of Ondo Central.





In his Sallah message, signed on his behalf by his SA (Media & Strategy), Charles Akinwon, the Distinguished Senator said, “Though the country is passing through some difficulties at the moment, however, we have every reason to praise our Creator”





Charging Muslims to see this period as period of sober reflection and not for dinning and wining alone but to use the Sallah season to pray to Almighty Allah to see the nation through this current hardship.





“I equally want our Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of Prophet Muhammad whose life was devour of hatred but preaches love throughout his life time”, the statement added.





Meanwhile, the Distinguished Senator, in his philanthropic gesture had distributed rams and bags of rice, worth millions of Naira to Muslim communities across Ondo Central.





Presenting these items to members of Ondo Central Muslim communities on behalf of the Senator, his Senior Legislative Aide, Samuel Alo, who was accompanied by some other Aides, said the items was to signify that the Distinguished Senator shares in their moment of celebration.





The Senator, through his SLA use the period to appreciate all Muslims in Ondo Central for their prayers, support and for standing by him at all times.
