Hon Abiola Peter Makinde, Honourable member representing Ondo East and West Federal Consistuency has sent his congratulatory message to the Ondo State Governor and his Deputy.
At around noon today, the apex court in Nigeria, the Supreme Court declared His Excellency, Gov Rotimi Odunayo Akeredolu as the duly elected governor of Ondo state after an uphill battle with the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Barr. Eyitayo Jegede.
The legal battle which ran out for months was today laid to a final and emphatic rest by the presiding judges and Gov Rotimi Akeredolu will now see out the remainder of his term.
In his message made available to pressmen via his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Alli Moshood, “I congratulate our Governor, His Excellency, Rotimi Akeredolu and his Deputy, Aiyedatiwa Lucky Orimisan on their triumph at the Supreme Court today.
“The will of the people has been demonstrated as it was during the electioneering process and as the term of our dear governor continues, I wish him all the best.”
Honorable Abiola Makinde who is the Deputy-Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character, also the Chairman, Nigeria Ghana Parliamentary Friendship Group couldn’t hide his joy at the judgment delivered today and wishes His Excellency well.
“I also use this opportunity to charge His Excellency to continue to bring to fore, his campaign promises and ensure that Ondo state reaches all her potentials. Warm regards,” Hon Makinde said.
