….. Govt drums support as MISS ONDO poises for ‘Nigeria, Global Beauty Pageant’
The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Pageant is indisputably the Most Valued Beauty Pageant in Africa. This is because the winner goes ahead to contest the Miss World Beauty Pageant and causes global attention to be drawn to the Contestants/Winners’ States of Origin.
Miss Pelumi Omasengua Odeyemi came out tops to represent Ondo State after rigorous screening, vetting and competition amongst other Ondo State contestants.
She is a 23year-old Law graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-ife; she hails from Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State. She is a fashion enthusiast, intelligent, versatile, charming, well mannered, beautiful and cultured young lady.
She desires to play her part in giving a voice to the voiceless in society, offering succour and assistance to victims of sexual and gender based violence and emphasises the respect of human rights whilst proudly representing her State of Origin “Ondo State”.
We therefore use this medium to solicit for the invaluable support of the Ondo State Government financially and technically as such a feat cannot be achieved without the background support of the State.
It is a competition among States because every other state supports their candidate. We believe by God’s grace, that the Ondo State Government’s Support will help bring the crown home to Nigeria and to Ondo State as it was brought to Nigeria by Agbani Darego in the year 2001.
As part of efforts to rally support for her and the state to win the competition, the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa received in audience on August 19, 2021, the contestant for SilverBird Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria representing Ondo State and the present (MBGN) Miss Ondo, Oluwapelumi Omasengua Odeyemi.
Aiyedatiwa sought the support of all and sundry from the Miss Ondo to achieve her aim of winning both National and International competitions, thus doing the Sunshine state proud.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Student Affairs, Hon Olumuyiwa Ogunyemi aka Eyiyato and Special Assistant to the Governor on Multi-Media, Mr Gbenga Asade who led the visitors, during their courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor in his office.
The Nigeria’s contest will hold between September 9 to 18, 2021.
