The Ondo State Chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has received the death of a former Chairman of the Association, Comrade Ralph Awolowo Odola, with rude shock and disbelief.
In a condolence message signed by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Kehinde Olomiye, NANNM, said Comrade Odola died at the age of 65year-old during a brief illness in Okitipupa on Sunday 22nd August, 2021.
The NANNM Chairman declared that health workers and the people of the state particularly nurses would not forget so soon unprecedented contributions of the former Chairman.
Comrade Olomiye said, “We have received the demise of our former chairman at NANNM Ondo state Council, Comrade Ralph Awolowo Odola, who passed on to glory on Sunday 22th August 2021, at his house in Okitipupa.
“We will surely miss his fatherly roles, a very intelligent leader who was committed to the growth of nursing profession. We will miss his immense contributions to our union and our health sector Adieu our leader!”
“He (Odola) was an intelligent comrade, quiet, unassuming and committed comrade to labour course and always believed in dialogue rather than confrontational, always hammering on alternative dispute resolution, lovely, a quintessential ophthalmic nurse,” Comrade Olomiye said.
