Why we’ll shut more hotels, Night clubs —Ondo govt

The heavy hammer of the Ondo State Government has fallen on Imperial Hotel located at Ilaje Street, Ijapo Estate in Akure.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Special Duties, Doyin Odebowale announced this at a news briefing in Akure.

The state government had last week shut a popular night club, Bola Komo for similar reason.

Odebowale said the decision became imperative because the hotel has become a security risk.

He said the state government would not allow hotels or night clubs to use their facilitates as den of criminals, threatening that more hotels or night clubs would be shut down for operating against the law of the land and for constituting security threat to the people.

On the closure of Bola Komo Venture, Odebowale said the state government would not watch on and allow some elements to destroy the future of youths in the state and continue to breach the law.
