Ondo govt moves to implement Contributory Health Insurance for workers

……..AS ONDO HOS ADEYEMO, INAUGURATES 9-MAN INTER-PARTY COMMITTEE ON CONTRIBUTORY HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME.

Ondo State government through the state Head of Service, Pastor John Adeyemo yesterday set up members of the Inter-party Committee between the Organised Labour Unions and Ondo State Contributory Health Commission (ODCHC) on the modalities of implementing the State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme for workers.

This is contained in a statement issued by Williams Oni, Media Director, Office of the HoS and a copy made available to SUNSHINETRUTH in Akure on Tuesday.

The Committee is inaugurated to deliberate on the proposed benefit package of the new Health Scheme tagged Orange Insurance Scheme to the State Public Servants as well as come up with mutually acceptable Premium Sharing Formula between the state government and Public Servants as stipulated in the law establishing the scheme.

Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin from the state Contributory Health Commission is to serve as the Chairman of the Committee while the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Sunday Adeleye will serve as it’s Co- chairman.

Other Members representing the health sector are Dr. Uche Odionyenma, Dr. Adetolu Ademujimi and Pharm. Amos Ayegbusi while members from the Labour side include Comrade Oluwaniyi Fabunmi, Comrade Helen Odofin and Comrade A. A Olapade

Mr Ayodeji Ageh from the Department of Establishment and Training is to serve as Secretary of the Committee which have three weeks to submit it’s report.
