Hon. Festus Olanrewaju Akingbaso (Fessy-West) member Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Idanre Constituency has continued to put smiles on the faces of his constituents as the latest in the series of empowerment programmes is for youths in the area.
This is just as youths have been charged to equip themselves in becoming top company preferred candidate for job and learn different skills in becoming an employer of labour.
This was the central focus at the flag off ceremony of Ondo State Youths Technical Training , empowerment and contract recruitment programme under the sponsorship of Hon. Festus Olanrewaju Akingbaso (Fessy-West) member Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Idanre Constituency.
The event was held at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies Lecture Theatre, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife.
Akingbaso, speaking during the event said “my constituents will be trained on writing of business proposal, paint production,CCTV,remote viewing operations, solar/inverter, contract proposals amongst others”.
The PDP Lawmaker said “the technical training will kick start on the 27th September 2021 and will last for 2 weeks and participants will be certified after the training.”
He said “the program is to prepare some of the participants for future employment and to make others self employed and be employers of labour.”
The lawmaker noted that they have collaborations with other institutions that will further enhance the participants.
The Guest Speaker at the flag-off Ceremony who is an Associate Professor from the Instistitute of Entrepreneurship (OAU), Mr Fayomi Abimbola urged the participants to be focused during the training.
“The participants will have the support of the Institute of Entrepreneurship in any skill after the training.”
Meanwhile, Some of the participants appreciated the sponsor for the golden opportunity saying they will do their best in learning the various skills.
