…… PORT ONDO, BITUMEN WILL UNLOCK OUR GREATNESS SAYS AKEREDOLU
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN on Thursday declared that, the proposed Port Ondo, Bitumen exploration and the red gold project are bound to unlocked the greatness of the Sunshine State.
The Governor made this remark in a goodwill message delivered by his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the Ekiti State Economic Development and Investment Summit held at Ado Ekiti.
According to the Governor, “in Ondo State, we are pursuing the Port Ondo project, exploration of Bitumen and other impactul projects that will change the face of the state for the better.” .
“Our red gold project leading to the revival and setting up of new Oil Palm plantations, Cocoa plantations and Industries, will surely lead to growth and economic resurgence” .
While welcoming the creation of Ekiti State Investment Promotional Agency as one of the most innovative decisions taken by Governor Kayode Fayemi’s Government, because as one stop shop for development and Investment will have a direct impact on your ease of doing business and the gradual industrialization of the State in a sustainable manner” .
Governor Akeredolu noted that, “history has shown that countries and sub nationals with functioning development and Investment index as evidenced by the Kaduna State Development and Investment Promotional Agency ( KADIPA ), Lagos Global and the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotional Agency ( ONDIPA ) are the way to go” .
The Governor added that, “i am confident that Ekiti State will not be different at the rate you are going”.
The keynote speaker at the summit, His Excellency, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice president federal Republic of Nigeria commended Ekiti State government for taking the investment drive initiative to a new level by becoming innovative.
Prof Osinbajo was also in Akure today for a special programme on orphanage.
