Students of FUTA staff Secondary School again displayed their high academic excellence at the Beautiful Ones are Born (BoaB) competition.
The competition under the auspices of Platform Capital in partnership with Diatom Impact is designed to support Nigerian schools with enabling infrastructure, inspire and challenge secondary school students as African kings and queens.
Students compete in STEM ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) Debate and a spelling bee competition.
FUTA staff school students came third winning a cash prize of N2.5 million and scholarship for participants.
The competition was in four stages and the students were outstanding at every stage in the three day Competition between September 29 and October 3,2021.
The grand finale was at the University of Lagos.
Oguntimehin Anthony, Ogbaye Motunrayo. Olanrewaju Olatunde. Ibam Anthony, Abudu Adesewa and Idowu Oluwatimilehin represented FUTA Secondary School in the Competition.
The Principal ,Mrs Folakemi Adekanbi was elated at the performance of the students. She said the performance of the students has given credence to the fact that the school is an excellent citadel of learning and a pacesetter among other schools in Nigeria.
She commended the students and urged them not to relent in flying the flag of the school and encouraged other students to also do their best to make the school proud.
