Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, on Monday expressed the readiness of his Administration to partner with Federal College of Agriculture Akure (FECA) in facilitating advanced space technology to boost agriculture in the State.
Represented by His Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor Akeredolu gave the assurance while playing host to the management and staff of Federal College of Agriculture, in Akure who came to inform the State Government of their upcoming Advanced Space Workshop to enhance technologically based agriculture in the State.
The Governor who acknowledged the importance of technology in driving the economy said his administration is committed to making agriculture attractive to the youths.
He said, the Advanced Space Technology will enhance productivity in agriculture and also help in the management of the earth in terms of monitoring and evaluation.
He noted that his Administration will continue to seek more partnerships and engagement that will boost agriculture in the State.
Earlier, the Provost of FECA, Dr Akinyemi Fadiyimu lauded the giant strides of the State Government in agriculture and sought Government support to boost agricultural sector through technology.
Dr Fadiyimu commended Governor Akeredolu for the Youths on the Ridges initiative which has empowered the youths in engaging more in Agriculture in the State.
