……Isinkan Monarch, Oba Olugbenga Ojo Emerges from Ugbo Ooye, continues Traditional Installation rites
The Iralepo-elect Barrister (Prince) Olugbenga Ojo Adimula Arulewolasi III has returned from the sacred Ugbo Ooye forest in continuation of his rites of enthronement in line with Isinkan tradition.
The soon to be crowned Prince was ushered back into the community by traditional title holders and Isikan people.
His return was marked with a procession round the territorial confines of the community from Ugbo Ooye to Omi Elegbudu along Ondo Road.
The Iralepo Elect who was dressed in a traditional hunter’s attire received encomiums from the people.
The chant of Iralepo cognomen which was rendered durng the procession in isikan dialect by the people translate to mean the Iralepo has accended the throne.
Market women trooped out enmasse dancing in celebration of the new Iralepo.
The Iralepo Elect stopped at strategic points in the community like Ori Eselu near bypass junction, old Udiroko at Isikan roundabout and Imogun where he offered prayers with water and Palm oil.
The walk climaxed with his entry into the Asamo’s house (one of the high Chiefs) where he will spend over 7 days in seclusion before proceeding for other rites of enthronement
The Iralepo Elect while speaking with Journalists said his vision for the community is to foster peace and advance development in the entire Akure South Local Government areas.
He extended an olive branch to the High chief purportedly installed by the Deji saying his situation is like a lost sheep which should return to the fold with peace.
The Elemo of Isinkan High chief Olasehinde Abidakun said the rites of enthronement would be followed strictly in accordance with tradition.
Similarly, the Aro of Isinkan, High Chief James Kolawole noted that the entire Uharefa, the kingmakers, are on the same page and will not allow the imposition and infitration of the Isinkan culture and traditions instigated by selection of a high chief by the Deji of Akure.
The Youth leader of Isinkan, Samuel Fajana said both male and female in the community are excited knowing fully well that the reign of the Iralepo-elect will transform lives of people in the area.
Other residents described the Iralepo-elect as a well cultured individual who is always ready to help at any time.
