The Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), has elected new officers to run the affairs of the institute in Ondo State.
During the election, outgoing Deputy Chairman, Qs Prof Awodele Oluwaseyi Alabi, was elected the new Chairman while Qs Osuolale Adelani Bayegun is the General Secretary-elect.
Bayegun who is of the Ondo state Ministry of Lands and Infrastructure, was returned unopposed with other officers except the new financial Secretary.
The election held Public Building Hall, Ministry of Lands and Infrastructure, Oyemekun road, Akure on Thursday 4th November, 2021, witnessed the contest for only financial secretaryship position between Qs Mrs Akinsanmi Taiwo Mary and Qs Oganna Endurance John and they scored 7 votes and 15 votes respectively.
Qs Abel Akinyede presided over the exercise as the Chairman of Electoral Committee as Qs Ojo Bankole and Qs Sanmi Adegboro served as members of the committee.


1. Qs (Mrs) Momoh E. Temitope – Deputy Chairman elect;
2. Qs Bayegun Osuolale Adelani – General Secretary Elect;
3. Qs Asaboro Tope – Treasurer (reelected);
4. Qs Oganna Endurance – Financial Secretary Elect;
5. Qs Dr Mrs Adegbembo Taiwo Fadeke (secretary, Education and Research);
6. Qs Mrs Olanitori Morolayo O. (Secretary, Marketing and Corporate Affairs); and
7. Qs Adekunye Olusegun Johnson (Assistant General Secretary).
The institute will soon hold the new officers’ investiture.
