The Public Service Joint Negotiating Council, JNC, Ondo state chapter, has elected new officers to run the affairs of the labour unions in the public sector.
SUNSHINETRUTH understands all the new officers were returned unopposed during the election held on Thursday.
The Chairman, Comrade Olaniyi Fabunmi and the JNC Vice Chairman, Comrade Olapade Ademola Adeniji from NCSU were returned for second term unopposed.
Former Secretary of the JNC, Comrade Esther Foluke Akinleye was reelected as the Secretary and a former TUC state Chairman, Comrade Ekundayo Soladoye was elected the JNC Treasurer, while the new JNC Assistant Secretary is Comrade Banso Moyinoluwa.
The election conducted by the returning officer and the NUAE National President, Comrade Simon Anchaver and withness by representatives of the Head of Service, Mr Aghe and the Director, Labour, Mr Micheal Afolayan.
In an accepted speech, the returned Chairman, Comrade Fabunmi commended the spirit of comradeship displayed by labour leaders who were involved in the election.
He promised to continue to defend the interest of the workers in the public service.
