A Chieftain of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mathew Oye Oyerinmade (Mato) has felicitated with the Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN), on the honourary doctorate degree (PhD), Honoris Causa in Law conferred on him by Samuel Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo Town, Oyo State.
Oyerinmade, who is a leading aspirant for the Senate in the forthcoming 2023 National Assembly Election in Ondo South Senatorial District said the honour bestowed on the Governor speaks volumes as a reflection of the giant strides Akeredolu’s administration has attained in education development in Ondo State.
The oil magnet turned politician noted that one of the developmental areas that has received full attention of the Ondo State Government since Akeredolu took over leadership on February 24, 2017 is the education sector which has been redefined and redirected for quality assurance and qualitative delivery.
Mato, has he is popularly called, praised Governor Akeredolu’s life accomplishments and achievements as leader of his People, particularly in the areas of peace and security, massive infrastructures and human capital development.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by Oyerinmade on Sunday, the Senatorial aspirant said; “Your Excellency, this newest addition to your growing and outstanding achievements as a professional lawyer and administrator par excellence indicate that the sky is your starting point, as you’re soaring higher and higher, putting smile on people’s faces.
“This award is a testament to our long-held opinion that, as governor of Ondo State, you have acquitted yourself as a genuine development-centric leader, whose ideals transcend the prosaic lines of ethnicity and nasty politics.
“I congratulate Your Excellency, on this achievement, I must caution you that maintaining the high development standard that you have established in the state would need commitment from you and your team.
“On behalf of my immediate family, my political team and entire people of Ondo South Senatorial District, we wish you more wisdom, knowledge and understanding to pilot affairs of our Sunshine State to the state of Eldorado in the comity of States in Nigeria.”
