Ondo: Why Alex Oladimeji should be restored as Ifedore Chairman —APC leaders

Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State, have rallied round the suspended Chairman of the local government, Engr. Alex Oladimeji, to be returned to his position.

The APC chieftains noted that Oladimeji remains a popular Council Chairman who should be restored by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the state House of Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the APC leaders in a press statement made available to newsmen at the weekend, a former Ifedore APC Executive member, Comrade Oyinbo Akinsola said “Ifedore Chairman was suspended on petition with forged signatures of the Councillors and he should be restored

“The faceless concerns citizen of Ifedore lead by the PA to the Vice chairman of Ifedore, Hon Sogo Ajikiola, one Wumi Alarapon requesting that the Ifedore Chairman Engr. Alex Oladimeji, Fnse. should not be restored should be ignored by the Governor and the house of assembly,  recall that the signatures of the Councillors on the petition that was used to suspend the chairman was forged by the Vice chairman and the leader of the House Ogunmola Sina.

“Their plan is to perpetuate the Vice chairman in the office so they can continue to enjoy what they don’t work for, it’s clear that the majority of Ifedore political class and the populace are with the Chairman Engr. Alex Oladimeji, and he was the Elected Chairman, the vice chairman should stop this desperation and stop his campaign of calumny against the chairman who was evidently set up so he can become the chairman God forbid.

“They are desperate after their failed attempt to impeach him. We call on our Governor and the state House of assembly to ignore the call by the Vice Chairman Sogo Ajikiola through his PA Wumi Alarapon and restore the people’s  Chairman Engr. Alex Oladimeji,Fnse. who was wrongly suspended on cook up charges,” Comrade Oyinbo Akinsola.
