Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led administration has resuscitated abandoned Alpha 3D Building materials Factory located in Ikare Akoko, even as the Management of the Alpha 3D Limited has commenced the construction of 500 Housing Units with EPS materials produced by the company.
A Board member representing Ondo state government in the Board of Alpha 3D Limited and Governor’s Aide, Prince Biyi Poroye disclosed to newsmen in Akure, the State Capital.
Alpha 3D was established by Adefarati’s administration but abandoned by successive administrations until Akeredolu’s intervention.
Poroye who also the Executive Director (full time) Business Development of the Alpha 3D Limited, explained that there were two investors who were working with the factory and the management to revamped the industry which was currently constructing the housing units at Alpha 3D Estate located on Irese road in Akure.
He said the materials such as EPS produced by the factory were being used to construct the houses at the Alpha 3D Estate, noting that out of 500 units that were being targeted, 100 housing units would be delivered by February, 2022 for the governor’s commissioning.
Poroye said “Alpha 3D is the real estate platform for Ondo state and has the responsibility of building houses both low, middle and high classes for the citizens and also to cover the housing deficits in the country.
“Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has promised that his administration will continue to give necessary support for Alpha 3D and he has been very supportive.
“With that development, we have been able to set a standard for ourselves that by February 24th, we will be delivering to the people of Ondo state, at least 100 housing units.
“This 100 housing units is first come ,first served. Though our target is about 200 housing units (in the first phase) and 500 units at the estate in total.
We are double sure that the 100 housing units, the governor will commission in February.
We must bear it in mind that we are not up to a month in office. But because of the dynamism of the Alpha 3D management, we have been able to achieve a lot even from the scratch.
My MD, Barrister Dare Bello and I alongside other management, we have been able to put a lot of spirits together to deliver.
Our vision is to make housing units easier for the people to access.
We have four bedroom Expanded polystyrene (EPS ) built and we have 3bedroom block built.
We also have 3bedrooms EPS built and that of Block built.
We have 2 bedroom design and one bedroom design but we are concentrating on 2 and 3 bedroom flats.
The 2 bedroom detached goes for #12.5m while semi detached goes for #12m.”
