Owo Retreat: Commissioner, Hon Lola Fagbemi sensitizes workers “1 Administration Policy”

Few days after the conclusion of a 3-Day Retreat held in Owo, the Ondo State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Hon. Lola Fagbemi, has started sensitizing workers of her ministry on how to execute outcomes of the Retreat as it concerns the ministry.

The Commissioner specifically declared that the MISSION of the ministry for 2022 – 2025 which is Improved Service Delivery (ISD) leads to Improved Revenue Generation (IRG) as this would positively drive the REDEEMED Agenda the “1 ADMINISTRATION” of the state.

Hon Fagbemi who led others top management staff of the ministry to a heart to heart interactive meeting in Akure, charged the workers to redouble their efforts at achieving the Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration’s vision of developing the state.

The Commissioner explained details of the qualities a Revenue Collector must possess in order to block leakages.

In her speech, Hon. Fagbemi, charged the staff to cooperate with present administration and also implored them to be in the right frame of mind so that the ministry could be among the top 5 revenue generation Ministry/MDAs at the end of this year.

She reiterated her commitment to have at least an industry in each of the Local Governments in the state.

The Motivational Guest Speaker at the meeting, Hon. (Mrs) Olateju Bamidele, who is also the state Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, charged the staff to brace up and imbibe positive mind set to delivering on Governor Akeredolu’s vision.

The opening remark was given by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. O. A. Durojaye, who said the meeting was the fallout of the 3days Retreat programme held in Owo last week.

Durojaye tasked the workers to be more proactive so as to improve the revenue generation of the ministry.

The closing remark was given by the Director of Finance and Administration of the Ministry, Prince Adekolurejo Sylvester, who assured the Commissioner on behalf of the staff of their maximum support and unalloyed loyalty to this present administration.

Other top management functionaries present were- Director of Commerce, Mr. Segun Awodogan; Director of Research and Planning, Mr. Sola Obanla; Director of Cooperative Services, Mr. Williams; Director of Investment and Promotion, Mrs. Akinbogun; Director of Small Scale, Mr. Temitope Ikuyinminu and Head of Accounts, Mrs. Oluwadare.
