PRESS RELEASE BY CONCERNED COALITION OF PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) YOUTH IN AKOKO NORTH EAST/WEST FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Anti-Party sentiment is disaffection with, or even rejection of political parties (or some times politicians aspiring to hold public office).
It is often said that a person cannot eat their cake and have it, but Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo, the Hon. Member representing Akoko North East and North West federal Constituency is trying to do that. He started off by his self premature confirmation of being a party flag bearer ahead of the 2023 primary election and sole candidate of the House of Representatives ahead of the proposed Primary and General Elections, without his party’s (APC) approval which is impudent with a precedence to Akinwunmi Ambode who tried to do the same thing during the previous Lagos State primary Elections and He found out the hard way how essential the party’s approval is.
After his untimely assertion of being the approved party’s flagbearer for the next election, the party leadership discarded the statement, noting that the party is yet to conduct its primary elections and it’s too early for any one to claim the party’s approval of their candidature (Since we live in democracy and not monarchy).
It is bad enough for Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo to prematurely establish himself as the All Progressives Congress flagbearer and equally take his superfluous ambition a step further by trying to create a problem in the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akoko North East and North West federal Constituency, a Supposed foe.
Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo went as far as inducing the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to deny his supposed foe a ticket to contest for the position of Akoko North East and Akoko North West Federal Constituency House of Representatives Aspirant and House of Assembly Aspirant, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo also went further to spornsor House of Assembly Aspirants under the Flagship of the Peoples democratic party(PDP) whom Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo believes will come to the aid of his ambition if denied the APC ticket.
Such cross-carpeting as perpetuated by Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo can destabilise both the APC and PDP and cause unnecessary problems in the party’s structure within Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency as a lasting motive and intention by Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo.
What BTO needs is to focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to the electorate who elected him.
We have seen politicians organising empowerments programs for the less privileged, and trying to advance the lot of the people who voted them into power, That can not be said for Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo as he is too busy engaging in Anti-party activities rather than focusing on the needs of his constituents but rather blind folding constituents and electorates with what we all know as our rights to enjoying governments civic responsibility such as road construction and rehabilitation thereby neglecting the right of the citizens and electorates towards Job Creation and Employment, Capacity Development, Elite Integration as a source attributed to the Office of the Chairman House committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in the Federal House of Representatives which Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo presently occupies and is equally made possible by God’s Grace and by the people of Akoko North East/west Federal Constituency.
It is equally our belief that Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo should be held accountable to every Penny of our Federal Constituency allocations as a sitting Member of the House of Representatives just as you have preached and as your colleagues within the Chambers have been magnanimous in prudently analysing how well allocations have been properly Utilized, precisely by sitting MHRs in Ondo State.
Youth Unemployment is not news, if Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo can assist artisans and young graduates, they will be too engaged to be constituting nuisance and unrest in the society.
We are not saying we expect an MHR to perform Miracles, but it will be appreciated if Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo focuses on pulling his weight and giving regards to the rule of law and Democratic Precedence that voted him into the 9th Republic rather than trying to buy himself back into power ahead of the next primary elections across both at the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as an option of force to contest elections in Akoko North East and North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State in 2023.
For the unity and peace of Akoko North East/west Federal Constituency and the three(3) State House of Assembly Constituencies in Akoko North East/west, of Ondo State, we call on all Stakeholders at home and in diaspora to look deep into the future sustainable political synergy that has existed and the emphasis that no Serving House of Representatives Member is a thin god, as there is always room for improvement right from the 1st republic in 1999 to the 9th republic which ends in 2023, giving rise to a better representation from the next Local Government to represent the Federal Constituency.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo popular support is people given, political merchants should steer clear
This is nothing but the handiwork of a faceless group, delusioned set of people with no moral compass or recourse to anything sane.
It’s obvious that they are looking for cheap attention which we shall not give them. Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has done a good job as testified by his constituents especially traditional rulers, community leaders and party leaders across towns in the area, and he will continue to serve his people well.
With no iota of doubt, it is clear that he has the popular support of all hence his acceptance by the people across the political divide. So, it is on record that he is the first federal lawmaker to enjoy support across all party lines despite being the APC chieftain. This is a clear indication that the people of his Federal Constituency are feeling his positive and unprecedented giant strides.
From the educational sectors, through the health sector, security and infrastructural development, the people of the federal constituency have never had it better like this.
These allegations (of anti-party and others) are nothing but baseless ones with no iota of credibility and part of political strategies to distract him from further serving his people. They should sit down and find other noble things to do because BTO is a moving train, heading for progress and his reelection is not negotiatable.
