Prominent Islamic Leader dies in Ondo, as Sunshine Queens lose Player

The immediate past Circuit President of Amadiyah Muslim Jaamah in Ondo state, Alhaji Amusat Aliu has passed on.

He was an Ikare Akoko in Ondo state born retired Prison official Alhaji  Amusat Aliu.

During his lifetime he was an executive member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ondo state.

He facilitated annual 30minutes radio programme during Ramadan.

He performed holy pilgrimage to Mecca and medina in 1992.

Aged 73 years, his remains will be buried today (Sunday) in his hometown, Ikare Akoko by 2:00pm according to Islamic rites

SUNSHINE QUEENS LOSE A PLAYER

Very heartbreaking, Sunshine Queens lost one of it’s Goal Keepers, Elizabeth Johnson (Janded) to the cold hands of death moments ago.

In a statement, the media officer of the team, Femi Atolagbe, said Johnson who was hale and heathy trained with the team yesterday at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure.

“She  earlier in the day complained of feeling feverish and dizzy. She was being taking to the hospital when she gave up the ghost on the way.

“Players, officials and management are still in shock.”
