Hundreds of residents and party faithful trooped out on Sunday in Ondo town to welcome into the All Progressives Congress, APC, an industrialist, Engr. Ayotunde Bally.
Bally, a finance expert and philanthropist, declared for the party alongside his supporters at an event held at the Ondo West local government secretariat of the APC at Yaba in Ondo.
Speaking after being received into the party, Bally said his decision to finally join politics through the APC was born out of his desire to contribute his quota to the development of his community.
Known for empowering young people and the less privileged in Ondo East and Ondo West local government areas, Engr. Bally said he will do more now that he is in politics.
Ayotunde Bally is a young international businessman, who is highly regarded as one of the promising leaders in the future of politics and governance in Ondo town, Ondo State and Nigeria.
Bally, who has carried out series of empowerment activities for the people of Ondo in the last few years, has among his business portfolio, Olivermead Investment Ltd, Velocity Partners and Arvo Finance.
Addressing the crowd, Bally appreciated the elders of the party and the people for coming out massively to welcome him, stressing that he’s not coming to the party to tear it apart but to make it grow and progress.
While soliciting for the support of the people and the party members and leaders, Bally stated that “I am an ambassador of the youths and I will continue to support the growth of the youths.”
The event, which afforded aspirants in the party to address party members, was attended by party chieftains including the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Omolola Fagbemi, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Wale Akinlosotu, Special Adviser to the governor, Dr. Jibayo Oyebade. Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abiola Makinde, APC Ondo West chairman, Mr. Ebenezer Akinsulire, the Odofin of Ondo kingdom, Chief Akin Olaniyan, among others.
