The Ondo State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Hon. Lola Fagbemi, has paid official visit to some markets in Ondo South senatorial district to inspect condition of facilities at the markets.
The Commissioner specifically visited for the inspection tour the State Market facilities at Igbokoda and Okitipupa on Tuesday.
Hon Fagbemia and her entourage were enthusiastically welcomed by the traders at the markets.
Hon. Fagbemi reiterated efforts of the state government to put all the markets in good conditions with functional facilities but tasked the traders to pay their shops/stalls rent as this would help the government to fulfill its promises to them.
She thanked them for their supports so far for this government and charged them to keep it up.
Speaking on behalf of the traders at Igbokoda market, Mrs. Stella Nene, the Personal Assistant to Iyaloja promised to cooperate with the ministry in the payment of market shops/stalls.
In the same vein, those who spoke on behalf of the traders at Okitipupa market, Chief Olumelo Igbekele, the Babaloja; Chief Mrs. Iyinyemi Florence, the Iyalaje and the Iyaloja thanked the government for their prompt responses on issues relating to their market.
They also promised to mobilise traders to make their payment of shops/stalls rents as and when due.
On the entourage of the Commissioner includes the Director of Commerce, Mr. Awodogan and other staff of the ministry.
