A Real Estate Expert and spokesperson to the Emerging Political Platform EPP, Oladeji Ebisemiju has given reason why he dropped his ambition to contest the House of Assembly seat in Ondo State on the platform of the APC.

Before now, the Ilaje born politician had declared his Interest to represent the people of Ilaje constituency 1 in the state parliament

The real estate guru announced this decision at an interactive session organized by the Governor with all aspirants for elective position at the forthcoming general election.

Governor Akeredolu had earlier welcomed all aspirants and informed them that the party would create a level playing ground for all aspirants in the forthcoming party primary elections and that all serving legislatures aspiring to re-contest should reassess themselves.

Oladeji while responding during the session appreciated the Governor for playing a fatherly role to all members of the party and said he would drop his ambition to contest the House of Assembly seat of Ilaje Constituency 1.

“Mr Governor, the deputy Governor and all leaders of our great party, there’s no gainsaying the fact, that I, just like many other aspirants, have invested financial resources into the pursuit of my ambition to represent the people of Ilaje Constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly and the truth is, there are only 26 seats to be occupied while we have more than 200 aspirants”.

“Whilst I understand that it’s only God who gives position, I see no reason why we should not embrace consensus and support fewer aspirants”, he said.

He also asked aspirants to support the Engr. Ade Adetimehin led Exco in completing the new APC party secretariat.

“I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”
“We cannot afford to spend lots of money pursuing an ambition that isn’t certain while our party secretariat is not yet completed”

“It is on this note that I’m dropping my ambition and donating #250,000 towards the completion of the new APC State Party Secretariat”, Oladeji added

He promised to support any aspirant that is qualified for the position and back such person financially.
