AS AKOGUN OMOLE SPICES GOLDEN AGE WITH CHIEFTAINCY TITLE, ONDO ASSEMBLY CELEBRATES SPOKESPERSON.
The ancient town of Oka-Akoko will play host to creme de-la-creme of the society this weekend, as the spokesperson of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Akogun Olugbenga Akinola Omole clocks the golden age of fifty.
As an illustrious son of Oka, the golden age is to be marked with the installation of Honourable Omole and his wife as AKOGUN and YEYE AKOGUN of Oka land.
In their unanimous message, the body of lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly described Honourable Akinola as one of the best things to happen in the annals of the House.
In a release signed by the Vice Chairman, House Committee on Information, Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, he observed that Honourable Omole journeyed through a humble beginning to become a highly celebrated and influential individual among his peers in the Assembly.
“He leads a generation of people who have risen against all odds, with determination to cut a niche for himself.”
“Honourable Omole is an embodiment of astonishing qualities which have earned him a place among political gladiators in the state and beyond,” Akinruntan said.
The lawmakers noted that Honourable Omole has over the years risen to become a political brand who everyone wants to identify with given his outstanding political track record.
“Akogun Olugbenga Omole could be compared to a palm tree rooted by the river side, which has continued to flourish beyond the expectations of all”.
While congratulating Honourable Omole and his wife on the attainment of his golden age spiced with a Chieftaincy title of Akogun of Oka Kingdom, the Ondo lawmakers wished the family, resounding successes in their future exploits.
Akogun Olugbenga Akinola Omole who clocks the golden age of fifty on Saturday, is the Chairman, House Committee on Information Youth and Sports Development.
He was born fifty years ago to the family of the late Jacob Oloruntosin Omole and Mrs Jimisola Omole of Isunodo, Osan Agba, Oka.
He attended the University of Ilorin, where he bagged a B.Sc degree in Geography. He also holds a Master degree in Public Administration, from the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.
In his political career,Akogun Omole had served in various capacities. He was Personal Assistant on Youth Affairs to a former Governor of Ondo State, late Pa Adebayo Adefarati. Omole was appointed Camp Commandant and Welfare Officer of the Sunshine Stars Football Club between 2009 and 2011.
Following his avowed commitment to the lifting of humanity through education, Omole was appointed Education Secretary of Akoko Southwest Local Government, a position he later resigned to contest for the House of Assembly seat, which he won overwhelmingly.
As a progressive, Akogun Omole served as the Aketi for Governor Coordinator in Akoko Southwest first in 2012 and and later in 2016. He also served as member of Governor Akeredolu’s inauguration Committee both in 2017 and 2021 as Vice Chairman, Sub- Committee on Media and Publicity.
