Contrary to the news in some quarters, the Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has insisted that there is no political appointee on the State list that was sent to Abuja.
Chairman of the chapter, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, dismissed the list circulating on the social media as fake, and misleading.
This is contained in a Press statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Alex Kalejaye and a copy made available to SUNSHINETRUTH in Akure on Friday today.
Adetimehin explained that political appointees that earlier made the delegate list had since been replaced, in full compliance with the Electoral Act.
He called on the stakeholders and political supporters to disregard the disfigured narrative, and focus on the forthcoming presidential primary of the ruling party.
The state chapter congratulates all the candidates that emerged from the recent party’s primaries, and equally commends the local government delegates fori proper and matured conducts during the exercise.
Adetimehin urged the Abuja-bound delegates to do the state proud, by exhibiting high level of discipline in all their dealings during the presidential convention.
