Gbenga Edema hails Sowore, Ologbese as Commissioner-designate

The immediate past Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC, Hon. Gbenga Edema has described the appointments of
Akinwumi Sowore and Prince Joseph Ologbese as commissioners designate by the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as perfect move.

While congratulating the duo on their appointments, Edema emphasised that the decision of the governor was a right and laudable one.

In a statement issued, Edema, a lawyer by profession and a former lawmaker in the Ondo State House of Assembly, stressed that the presence of commissioners designate as cabinet members would contribute in no small measure to the success of the present administration in the state.

The governor had through his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, on Friday revealed that the names of the nominees had been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening, clearance and confirmation.

The ex-OSOPADEC boss maintained that as competent hands, the nominees would not disappoint the governor in the discharge of their duties when assigned.

The statement read “I sincerely wish to congratulate my brothers, Akinwumi Samson Sowore and Prince Joseph Adeboboye Ologbese on their appointments as Commissioners designate.

“I have no doubt in my minds that their appointments will impact positively and help the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, to continue to achieve his set goals before the expiration of his tenure in office.

“I send them my warmest wishes as they prepare for their upcoming challenge. We also ask God to keep them and their families safe as they work with the governor to advance the state.”

While enjoining the people to support them in order to enable them succeed in their new assignments, Edema wished both appointees well and prayed God to grant them the wisdom to excel in their positions.
