Ondo state intending pilgrims yesterday Saturday departed for the 2022 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia; SUNSHINETRUTH can confirm authoritatively.
They left Nigeria through Ilorin International Airport and it is believed they have arrived Saudi safely.
The State Chairman of Muslim Welfare Board, Alhaji Dhikrullah Adams Chandy made this known through a telephone conversation with the Ondo state Amirah of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria FOMWAN, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle and Imam Erolalijano of Ilorin, Alhaji AbdulRahaman Imam yesterday.
Addressing the women intending pilgrims, Alhaja Omikunle said the Chairman has confirmed that all necessary documents have been perfected and100 percent ready to commence the journey today.
A member of the Board of Trustees and immediate past Ondo state Amirah, Alhaja Aminat Akinpelumi sensitised the women on the Hajj rites at the holy city.
She reeled out their visitation to Medinah where she said they would make visitation to Raowdo where they will exercise more patient than what they have experienced among others.
Akinpelumi enlightened them on their intention to the holy land, ritual birth and putting on their garment (Ikhram),Circumambulation of the sacred house seven times, the Safa and Marwa also seven times and performing prayers.
The journey to Muna, the Arafat, to musdalifa and the throwing of 49 peebles, seven on the first throw then 21 each for the second and third throwing among other.
She urged them to always be more patient, listen and follow instructions of the officials, control their temper and to take care of the aged which is part of worship.
Another Board of Trustees member, the Chairman of Humanitarian and Community Development of the state FOMWAN, Alhaja Rafat Momoh reminded them of the need to pray for the state and the country in particular over insecurity and other challenges.
She said they should be good Ambassadors of the state and maintain it’s status quo as the best state for 2022 pilgrimage.
The state FOMWAN Chief dawah Officer, Alhaja Aminat Olagboye led a prayer session with the intending pilgrims for a hitch-free Hajj exercise.
