It was a sober mood and celebration of life, as family members, colleagues and sympathizers on Friday July 1, 2022, converged on Blessed Micheal Tansi Catholic Church, Aule area of Akure, the Ondo State Capital to pay their last respect to Late Sir (Prince) Michael Adeloye.
Until his death, late Adeloye was a member of that church who had contributed to the growth of the church and humanity, hence the special Mass to bid him goodbye. The deceased was a member, Knights of St. Mulumbus.
Earlier on Thursday, Mournful hymns and prayers were observed during a Christian wake at his residence.
The Officiating Minister, Reverend Father John Oyinkolade said the testimonies by people about the deceased showed that he lived a fulfilled life, saying his good deeds are worthy of emulation.
Oyinkolade urged the children and family members to imbibe and sustain his legacies as well as uniting in Christ.
At the Burial service, the officiating Minister, Rev. Father Paul Akinmuda in his homily, eulogized the deceased and enjoined his family members, colleagues, sympathizers to live a worthy life.
Akinmuda said man must have it at the back of his mind that death can beckon at anytime ,hence ,the need to live a Christ- like life on earth.
The deceased was laid to rest at his residence in Aule, Akure where family members bid him farewell.
While eulogizing their late father and Father in law, the daughter of the deceased, Omotola Ologun and her husband Igbekele Ologun of Orange FM said Late Adeloye was a kind-hearted man whom they will miss forever .
Late Adeloye’s son Bankole Micheal Adeloye and his younger brother Raphael Adeloye appreciated him for his positive contributions to their lives, adding he was a good family man and has left a huge vacuum.
Members of his Church and Knight of St.Mulumbus said Late Adeloye was a devout Christian and had huge influence on the church, St. Mulumbus and its members.
A lavish reception was later held at the Adesupa hotel in Akure where guests had enough to drink and eat.
Late Comrade Micheal Adeloye who departed the world on the 5th of June, 2022 was born on the 5th of February, 1953.
He is survived by his Wife, Children and grandchildren including Barrister (Mrs) Omotola Ologun of the Ondo State Ministry of Justice.
