OVER 800 LEAD COUNSELS TEAM UP TO DEFEND SENATOR BOLA AHMED TINUBU IN SUIT NO.: FHC/ABJ/CS/1058/2022 WHERE CENTRE FOR REFORM AND PUBLIC ADVOCACY ARE ASKING THE FEDERAL HIGH FOR AN ORDER OF MANDAMUS AGAINST THE POLICE TO PROSECUTE ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, THE CANDIDATE OF ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS IN THE FORTHCOMING GENERAL/PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
I, Ojo Ayodele, Esq. & Timileyin Oguntuase, Esq. wrote a counter petition against the petition of Centre for Reform and Public Advocacy’s petition that the Inspector General of Police lacks jurisdiction over the subject matter sometime last two weeks.
It has come to our notice that the group have decided to go to court to sue the Office of Inspector General of Police asking the Honourable Court for an order of mandamus against the police in order to bring a malicious prosecution against our client Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress.
We realised that this group are so clever they did not join our client as a party but since we know that the outcome of this matter might affect our client we are coming to join as a party.
That over 800 lawyers have joined our legal team to defend this suit and to also defend the candidate of All Progressives Congress, Senator Bola Tinubu, the pillar of democracy in Nigeria.
We are still putting our house in order to join this suit properly and see how we can strike out this matter with the latest Supreme Court authority that says no court should grant an order of mandamus against the police on matter to investigate.
Finally, we will join at the appropriate time as over 800 counsels are legally ready to defend the pillar of democracy in Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
