The battle for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Akoko Southwest constituency -1 seat ahead of 2023 House of Assembly has taken a new dimension as lawyer to the plaintiff in a suit challenging Emmanuel Gbogi.
The lawyer has revealed some facts that justifies that he is not eligible to contest on the APC ticket.
Barrister Odunayo Moses Esq., a lead counsel of 6 lawyers to an APC Aspirant in the Assembly primary, HON AJOBIEWE DAVID had asked Hon Gbogi Emmanuel in a summon to stop parading himself as an MHA flag bearer of APC in Akoko southwest LG constituency 1; until the Federal high court gives its final verdict based on some vital exhibits presented against him regarding the 3 counts allegations levelled against Hon Gbogi Emanuel.
In the latest twist, it was gathered that from Barr Odunayo that “PRE- ELECTION CASE UPDATE IN AKOKO SOUTHWEST 1: Gbogi Emmanuel denied his name, claimed to be Gbogiaran Dada after the state house of assembly primary election held on the 26th May 2022.
“He adopted the GBOGIARAN DADA a few weeks after a suit was filed against him Federal High Court in Akure for not eligible to contest for the election.
“During the time his (Gbogi) lawyer filed a memorandum of appearance, Gbogi Emmanuel did not deny the names, but he later came up with the new name in his Counter-Affidavit.”
Barrister Odunayo the Plaintiff’s lawyer said It was confirmed that the 1st defendant (Gbogi Emmanuel) through his lawyer denied his name with a doctored secondary school result (WAEC) which appeared to be different names and subjects, but similar Candidate number on the WAEC portal, and it was discovered that the certificate was Doctored during the investigation on the WAEC portal site.
The plantiff said “Numerous of more exhibits obtained from both United State of America and Nigeria including the doctored result, Primary Election result and CTC of his nomination form that proof he bears GBOGI EMMANUEL has been annexed as Exhibits to the court by the Lawyer.”
PRESS STATEMENT
I read with dismay the news of Gbogi doctoring a document out of numerous documents he had consistently used and attached as exhibits in his response to the Dead on arrival suit filed by Ajobiewe David through his 6 lawyers as properly called
It is quite unfortunate that when they saw the end of their lifeless suit coming, they were left with no option than taking their battle to the social media
Ajobiewe through his 6 lawyers took a wrong person to the court and the best way to let the court aware of this is by annexing all our client’s documents right from his birth. The primary school certificate, the secondary school WAEC result, the University’s certificate and even both APC’s nomination and expression of interest forms.
The INEC also brought their own INEC nomination forms filled and signed by the party members from Akoko SouthWest Constituency I to show the court that a wrong person was sued
Ajobiewe has nothing to show that he has brought our client before the court
Next time he will not be only guarded but guarded well by his 6 lawyers
Ajobiewe’s lawyers know the implication of granting this interview anyway. If they are truly speaking for Ajobiewe, then there is need for libel suit against him afterwards.
We challenged Ajobiewe to publish the fake or doctored WAEC document he talked about on this platform if truly the WAEC body denied issuing the document to our client
I won’t say much here. I am only letting the public know that Ajobiewe through his lawyers might have bought more than what they negotiated for
We shall cross the bridge soon and we shall all count the blessings that follow crossing it.
Thank you
Bayo Olorunmeke, Esq (Lawyer to Hon Gbogi)
