The PDP Young Movement, national body leadership including the Ondo State House of Assembly Minority Leader, Hon Rasheed Elegbeleye; the lawmaker representing Idanre in the state Assembly, Hon Festus Akingbaso ‘Fessywest’ and the lawmaker representing Ondo West constituency 1, Hon Tomide Akinribido have paid solidarity visit to the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the PDP and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Abuja.
Fessywest is also the Candidate of the PDP for Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency in the 2023 general election.
During the visit on August 7, 2022, Elegbeleye said “We stands on house to house campaign movement and units sensitisation throughout the country in the next presidential election.
The Minority leader noted that the PDP had never lost presidential election in Ondo State since 1999 except in 2015; “I made presidential candidate understand that since 1999 PDP never lost any presidential election apart from 2015, in Ondo state.”

The lawmaker also advised Atiku not to act on any sentimental group in Ondo state but everyone should be carried along.
“Nigeria is sinking sir and everybody knows. No area in government that APC has scored good records. Bad records in Education, Security, Economy, Health and Infrastructural development.
“We don’t want a president that is the only campaign periods for his party that will be coming out. We need a president that will be commissioning projects physically always like Wike the governor of River State,” the Minority leader said.
Hon Rasheed Elegbeleye advised the PDP presidential candidate to bring Wike group back quickly so that all media of the group to maintain decorum because nothing we want again in Nigeria than better change.
Speaking, Alhaji Atiku expressed appreciation to the lawmakers for the solidarity visit, promising to run all inclusive campaign and government if elected.
