Mama Akeredolu spent her life to serve humanity —Iresi of Osi, Oba Olajide condoles Ondo governor

Oba David Olajide, the Iresi of Osi Kingdom in Akure North local government area of Ondo State has joined Nigerians to condole the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, over his mother’s death.

Lady Evangelist Akeredolu died on Thursday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital at the age of 90 years.

In a Statement, the Monarch said, Mama Akeredolu inculcated what he described as Godly virtues of prayer, devotion and hardwork in her children which marked them out in all spheres of human endeavours.

“Mama was a committed Christian who spent the better part of her life to serve God and humanity.”

The Iresi noted that the exemplary life of Mama is the reflection of God’s favour in the life of her children, which Governor Akeredolu among his siblings are enjoying today.

Oba Olajide stated that, the huge investment on the education of her children will remain one enduring legacy of late Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, mother of Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

”Mama was a God fearing woman who had dedicated her life to serving God and working hard towards ensuring that her children make great impact in life”, he said.

He enjoined mothers to emulate the late matriarch of the Akeredolu dynasty by paying attention to the upbringing of their children and wards.

“I can only pray that God give our governor and his siblings the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of Akeredolu’s matriarch,” Oba Olajide said.
