It was historic yesterday in Akure, Ondo State capital, as Yoruba sociocultural group, Afenifere threw their supports behind the aspiration of All Progressives Congress ( APC ) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the Country inches towards the February 2023 General Elections.
This cheering news was made at the residence of Afenifere National Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti when the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented a document containing his manifestos to Pa Reuben Fasoranti and other Afenifere leaders at Akure residence of the elder statesman .
The socialcultural group Afenifere said, Tinubu will be Pan-Nigeria President if given the chance to lead the country.
According to Afenifere, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu shared with us his vision of greater and more prosperous Nigeria, where democractic rights , rule of law, justice and fairness will reign” .
“Tinubu also gave assurance on steps to be taken to ensure safety and security of Nigerians and their properties” .
“Having taken congnisance of his commendable antecedents as Lagos State Governor and his demonstrated ability in building physical and human capital, we Yoruba Leaders at today’s meeting are in no doubt that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria offers the best opportunity to produce a government that will usher in a New Era of hope, peace, security, harmony, gainful employment for the multitude, economic development, social and political stability of Nigeria” , they said.
Earlier, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, represented by his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa declared that, there are no ‘Obidients’ as supporters of Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi in Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa made this declaration at the residence of Pa Reuben Fasoranti when the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited the elder statesman and some other Yoruba Leaders in Akure on Sunday.
The Deputy Governor attributed the support based on the capacity and antecedent of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu saying the Sunshine State was ready to work and deliver massively for him, owing to Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s stand on power shift to southern Nigeria.
Aiyedatiwa said, the power shift must be to the Southwest region, where Tinubu came from.
Equally, Oyo State Governor, Egnr Seyi Makinde, represented by his Deputy, Hon Bayo Lawal at the event also declared his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC.
Speaking at the very impressive event, Makinde’s Deputy, Bayo Lawal said, “indeed, we are not in the same party, but Oyo State is totally in support of your ambition”.
Also, the new Governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Oyebanji, joined Makinde and Akeredolu to drum support for the decision of the Afenifere leaders for the actualisation of Tinubu’s Aspiration.
Meanwhile, APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu disclosed at the event that he is well prepared to win the February 2023 Presidential Election based on the spectacular supports he is getting across the nation particularly in the northern part of the Country.
Expressing optimism about the support he is enjoying towards the build-up to February 25, Presidential poll, Asiwaju Tinubu said all APC 22 Governors are solidly behind his aspiration based on his capacity and antecedent.
Pa Fasoranti had earlier prayed and blessed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emerged as President comes next year.
