Youths in Akoko North West Local Government area of Ondo state have promised to reward the member representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, Rep Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo with their votes in 2023 General elections for performing excellently in his first term.

They made this known at a solidarity rally organised to canvass support for the lawmaker in Okeagbe Akoko on Saturday.

The rally which was organised by Akoko North West Youth Forum had thousands of youths in attendance from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties.

Tunji-Ojo popular known as BTO is seeking reelection on the platform of APC after spending 3 years in office.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, the President of Akoko North West Youth Forum, Abiola Mayowa said BTO has strengthened the unity among the youths in the constituency with his performance.

“For the first time, we have a representative who is bringing youths from different political parties together. This is the type of unity we have always craved for.

“We are holding this rally to thank him for his great performance and for making us proud. We will follow it up by voting for him massively at the polls in 2023.” He concluded.

A former aspirant for the 2019 House of Assembly election for Akoko North West Constituency 2 under Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Ibrahim Azeez Oladotun also commended the accessibility of the Lawmaker describing him as the best in the country currently.

A member of the PDP, Kolawole Joseph kokere described the Federal lawmaker’s performance as the best the Constituency has ever witnessed.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President of Akoko North West Students Union Comrade Aleetogun noted that the students have enjoyed the representation provided so far by the lawmaker through several interventions in the education sector.

Mr. Folorunsho Dada, a member of the NNPP said many of his party members will vote for the Okeagbe-born lawmaker for his stellar performance.
