The Executive Chairman of Ifedore local government area of Ondo State,
Hon. (Engr.) Alex Oladimeji, FNSE, has rolled out some empowerment packages to people of his council area as part of boosting spirit during this festive period and alleviating suffering of his people.
The Executive Chairman also used the occasion to distribute festive (Christmas) gifts to the people of the local government.
The empowerment programme and distribution of the Christmas gifts took place at the Residence of the Chairman in Ijare town.
According to Engr Oladimeji, the empowerment packages which for the less privileged worth over one point five million naira where over 250 people benefitted.
He pointed out that the Christmas gifts cost him one point eight million naira.
Some of the beneficiaries of Christmas package included; traditional rulers, Security agents, state and federal agencies working in Ifedore; LG Party leaders, Drivers and Okada riders among others.
Report indicates that party leaders across 10 wards in Ifedore council area attended the programme held on Tuesday.
Those in attendance included; Rt Colonel Olubodun Apata who is the APC Leader in Ifedore; Hon. Idowu Adebusuyi (ODHA service Commissioner 1); Fawoyi Tunde, LG Party Chairman; Oluyemi Damilola APC State Exco; Hon Sogo Ajikiola who is the Executive Vice Chairman of Ifedore LG; Barr. Collins Awoseye SLG Ifedore LG; as well as all the LG Councillors led by Leader of the House Hon Sina Ogunmola.
