IKARE CRISIS: Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe expresses concerns, sues for peace as he postpones campaign activities in Akoko North East

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Ondo North Senatorial District in the forthcoming general elections, Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe has expressed his deep concern to the communal crisis that erupted in Ikare-Akoko few days ago.

Akogun Modupe decried the level of damages done to lives and properties, called it needless and unwarranted of people who have lived together peacefully in the past without rancour.

He therefore sues for peace as he commiserates with the people of both communities, and pleads with them to allow peace to reign.

Akogun Modupe also charges the security agencies especially the Nigeria Police to ensure peace returns to the communities in no time.

He therefore postponed all his campaign related activities in Akoko North East Local Government pending the resolution of the crisis by the State Government and the security agencies.
