The Immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State and Candidate of the PDP for Ondo South Senatorial district, Hon Agboola Ajayi yesterday declared that government of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has not done well and it lackluster performance will give the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) an edge in this year’s general election.
Ajayi described the eight years of APC as worst than the 16 years of the PDP and urged the people to vote the ruling party out of office.
He stated this while speaking at the flag-off of PDP campaigns for Ondo South senatorial district, in Okitipupa in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state, Ajayi advised the people not to mortgage their future by collecting money to be shared during the election.

According to him, the ruling APC government has failed the nation hence the need to vote them out in the next month’s general elections. He said the three House of Representatives, candidates; Kolade Akinjo, Ikengboju Gboluga, and Olatunji Felder will represent the zone better if given the mandate to represent the federal constituencies that made up the senatorial district.
Addressing the crowd of PDP supporters drawn from the six Local Government areas that made up the Southern District, Ajayi said, “Our people are tired of APC government, and we are not worried about the issue of vote buying because it won’t work at all in Ondo South Senatorial District. Our people are resolute and ready to vote out APC.”
His words “We all know that Ondo South is for PDP, our people are not going to compromise their integrity and they are ready to vote in all PDP candidates in all elections. We know the problem of our Senatorial District, the major problem is electricity and God will use us to settle the issue. If we vote for PDP, just give us six months, and we can assure you that electricity will be restored in all the affected areas.
“The 132 KVA substation in Okitipupa, I was the one that brought it when I was the House of Representative member but things were not going on well since we left the government. But I want to assure the entire Ondo South Senatorial District people that we will complete the work and make sure that there is electricity. We are going to Abuja to represent you well.”
He, however, urged the entire Ondo South electorate to vote massively for PDP candidates in the February 25, general elections as that would guarantee better representation.
The Southwest Director General of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Dr. Eddy Olafeso in his speech advised those who lost out in the party’s primary to sheath their swords and work for the victory of the party.
Olafeso said “we are one single family, indivisible, united, we are moving ahead to win this election because the last seven and half years of the APC government has been a very tragic experience for the people of Nigeria.
“The Ondo South Senatorial District is known for PDP and we are going to prove it this time around. This is the beginning of victory for PDP in Ondo South and Nigeria as a whole.”
The State PDP Chairman, Hon Fatai Adams who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Tola Alabere said the people of the district have embraced PDP assuring the people that the party would win in February and March elections in the zone.
The House of Representatives candidate for the Ile-Oluji-Okeigbo/Odigbo federal constituency, Dr. Olatunji Felder said, “we will win this election because we are tired of APC government in this country and even the whole nation is ready to vote out APC and there won’t be a chance for vote buying anymore.”
Speaking in the same vein, the former Commissioner for Information in the state, John Ola Mafo said the mission of the party was to pull down the wall of the ruling APC corruption in the country and rescue Nigerians from poverty.
Mafo urged people of the Senatorial District to vote massively for the party in the next month’s election.
According to him, the presidential candidate of the party Atiku Abubakar, his vice, and all the candidates in the country had the capacity, integrity, and track records to rescue the country.
