GOV. AKEREDOLU IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PREDICAMENT: Your Defeat is Inevitable – OCMT tells Hon. Tomide, Ondo PDP MHA
It is now the talk of the town that the defeat of Hon. Tomide Akinribido, member representing Ondo West Constituency 1 in Ondo House of Assembly in the March 11 house of assembly election is inevitable, having lost grassroots touch with his constituents for over three and half years. Suddenly, Hon. Tomide started grading roads he has abandoned since 2019 as a way of hoodwinking the people that he is working and the pertinent question they must ask him is where has he been since, and now that election is around the corner, he abruptly realised that those roads needed to be graded.
The reason behind this conundrum of his is not far-fetched because he has utilized the rare “collabo” mandate of his constituents for fistycuffs in the House and antagonism against the state government that brought him to power.
The irrefutable validity is that what Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO), candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ondo West Constituency 1 has done in terms of interventions, projects and programmes for the good people of the constituency since his emergence as the party’s candidate is far more impressive than what Hon. Tomide Akinribido claimed to have achieved since his assumption to office in 2019 as a lawmaker.
Hon. Tomide’s braggadocio achievements are what a Ward Councillor in Local Government should be going around telling his Ward people that he has achieved; even philanthropist do way more than that.
Ostensibly, Hon. Tomide has exhibited to us that he was imposed as a candidate in 2019 under the defunct ZLP to represent the people and the result is a colossal failure of representation that is highly conspicuous; audible to the deaf and visible to the blind.
It is incontrovertible that the good people of ODWC1 can not afford to experience another episode of embarrassing and calamitous representarion in the State House of Assembly in the March 11 election, and the constituents of Ondo West Constituency 1 have unanimously agreed to send Hon. Tomide to political oblivion in the next month’s house of assembly election; as his defeat is inevitable through the ballots.
Hon. Tomide is trying so hard to achieve his re-election on the ballot through wantom violence and destructive tendencies by deploying the same set of unscrupulous elements recruited for him in 2019, but OMO’s election is based on the power of the electorates who have endorsed him and vowed to resist the electoral WAR that took place across the wards that constitutes Ondo West Constituency 1 which ledto Hon. Tomide’s inexpiable victory in 2019.
It is now crystal clear that Hon. Tomide’s continued anthem that APC should point to what Gov. Akeredolu’s led administration has done in Ondo west local government is an indication that he is yet to recover from the traumatic experience of the 2020 unprecedented governorship election defeat of the PDP by the APC in Ondo West, where his party and candidate could not win the local government and were swept off by the tsunami of APC’s victory at the ballots after rambling that Aketi is grossly unpopular in Ondo West and that he will lose.
Over the weekend, for the first time since 2019, Hon. Tomide Akinribido visited athletes at the Ondo township stadium to seek their support through the back door. This came as a result of the overwhelming support and unanimous endorsement of Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO), after hosting a successful football competition in Ondo for all sport lovers in Ondo city which Hon. Tomide has not been able to achieve for three and half years because he did not place any primacy on the sector and those engaging in sporting activities.
In realising that he has been repudiated by his people, especially those in that sector, he quickly finds a way of placating them after deliberate neglect for years. “It is too late to dig a well when the house is already on fire”.
Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju has been chosen to abate the prolonged lamentation of the good people of Ondo West Constituency 1, over the dreaded representation experienced under Hon. Tomide Leonard Akinribido. These afflictions shall not arise again!
Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju (OMO), and his campaign team will never descend so low to engage in a sinister campaign of violence or family attacks. Again, OMO will continue to distance himself from the huff campaign on social media that Hon. Tomide has deployed and his ulterior motives to cause electoral furore before the election. The campaign mission of OMO is to salvage the Ondo West Constituency 1 from shabby representation in the March 11, 2023 election.
Hon. Tomide has spent much time in a hotel with people that are unconnected to the development of his constituency in an extravagant lifestyle than the time he has spent with his constituents whose mandate he is enjoying; such a person does not deserve to be re-elected.
