Debate @Osemawe’s Palace: Stop Chasing Shadows —Hon Tomide admonishes Ogunwumiju

ACCEPT YOUR IMMINENT DEFEAT AND STOP CHASING SHADOWS —HON. TOMIDE AKINRIBIDO ADMONISHES OGUNWUMIJU

The attention of the campaign office of the member representing Ondo west constituency 1 at the state assembly,Hon. Tomide Akinribido has been drawn to the watery allegation by the foisted candidate of the APC,Otunba Moyin Ogunwumiju and his cohorts, spuriously accusing the incumbent of attempting to drag the revered Osemawe’s palace into partisan politics.

Our immediate reaction to this futile attempt by the unpopular APC candidate is to sympathize with him for choosing to embark on a naked dance of shame, however we understand that frustration and desperation propelled by fear of imminent electoral defeat, can induce such show of ignominy. However,he will not be the first or last to lose election, hence he should accept his impending loss in good faith and prepare for future elections.

The public will recall that some good Samaritans had alerted the good people of Ondo kingdom to alleged plans by the APC candidate to bankroll a campaign of calumny and propaganda against the person of Hon. Tomide Akinribido, hence we are not surprised that this recent laughable publication is one of such sponsored stories, the first of the unsubstantiated series that will emanate from the camp of the sinking APC candidate,Moyin Ogunwumiju,as the election approaches.

While informing the public to ignore the antics of the rejected APC candidate,we also assure that Hon. Tomide Akinribido remains focused on continuing with his effective, vibrant and purposeful legislative representation and won’t be distracted by the anti-democratic tactics of the APC candidate, who has realized that he will lose the election to the incumbent by a wide margin, and has decided to launch a “do-or-die” approach in fighting back.

Finally,we call on security agencies and all stakeholders in Ondo kingdom to call Moyin Ogunwumiju and his supporters to order,as their campaign of calumny and character assassination against the incumbent is contrary to the ethics of a healthy electoral competition.
