…..APC Southwest felicitates Tinubu on electoral victory, urges support for candidates in governorship, Assembly elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southwest has felicitated the president-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory at the poll, describing it as success well-deserved.
The party in a statement by its Zonal Publicity Secretary Mr Ayo Afolabi said Tinubu’s victory was a result of his firm belief in Nigeria which he has proved over the years through the bridges he has been building across the Niger, his doggedness, kind nature, determination and courage to surmount challenges.
Afolabi described Tinubu’s journey to Aso Rock as long and tortuous, but which ended well by God’s grace and mercy.
He pointed out that Tinubu’s election at this critical time is most apposite, stressing that Nigeria needs a leader of Tinubu’s virtues and courage to change the fortunes of the country.
Well known for his unusual ability to convert potentials to practical gains, the APC said it was not in doubt that the former Lagos State governor would unite Nigerians and prioritise ideas and activities that will revive the economy thereby creating opportunities for all irrespective of language, religion and geographical location.
The party also thanked Nigerians, particularly those resident in Southwest, for voting massively for the APC candidates in the last election, urging them to look forward to economic prosperity and improved security.
The APC called on voters in the region to repeat the same love for the party by massively voting for its governorship candidates in Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanmi-Olu; Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Teslim Folarin (Oyo) and House of Assembly candidates in the six Southwest states in the March 11 election.
Afolabi said the region will enjoy greater development by ensuring that all APC candidates are elected again to make the job of governance easy for all elected officials at the federal and state levels. That way, the APC emphasised that development will be achieved more speedily across the region.
