March 11 MHA Election: Accept Defeat, forget your second term ambition —APC’s OMO tells Hon. Tomide

March 11 MHA Election: Accept Defeat And Stepdown —APC’s OMO tells Hon. Tomide

*** Ondo electorates have used February 25 elections to affirm your defeat

The All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate for the March 11 house of assembly election in Ondo State, for Ondo West constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO) has told the candidate of the PDP and the outgoing MHA, Hon. Tomide Akinribido to accept defeat and honourably step down before the March 11 state house of assembly election in Ondo state.

Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO) who said this while addressing some key stakeholders in Ondo in a build-up to the March 11 election said the candidate of the PDP does not have the street credibility and popularity to win the forthcoming election, as it is egregious that he has been rejected alongside his political party by the electorates in Ondo West constituency 1.

“There is no gainsaying that the PDP in Ondo kingdom is politically inconsequential to the forthcoming election and to make it worst, the MHA candidate and his political party do not have the wherewithal to win the election as a result of his incompetence, campaign of treachery he has embarked on and a great disconnection with the grassroots “

“It is incontrovertible that the February 25th Presidential and NASS elections have shown us that PDP has been politically sent to oblivion, as the electorates in Ondo West constituency 1 trooped out en masse to reject the party at the ballots and showed their unflinching support and solidarity for our progressives party, which made our presidential, senatorial and HoR candidates won their elections convincingly, while PDP and their candidates from their presidential to HoR suffered a colossal defeat that is irreversible.” – OMO said

Ostensibly, the constituents of Ondo West constituency 1 have ascertained to us through the ballots on February 25th, that the pendulum of the MHA seat for this constituency will finally swing in favour of the APC on March 11th, without any form of controversy.

The honourable thing for the PDP candidate, Hon. Tomide Akinribido to do is to acknowledge defeat and step down as this will save him and his party from political humiliation at the ballots.

The presidential, three(3) senatorial and eight(8) out of nine (9) House of representatives’ seats victories on February 25th have automatically substantiated that APC is a party to beat on the March 11 house of election in Ondo kingdom.
