INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
Women are a special breed, deserving of honour and pamper. Tenderly created by Òrìsà Òkè, to make Ìsálú Ayé merry.
Try not to understand a woman, lest you’re frustrated beyond redemption. Just love her in her many colours, for even she understands not herself…
Be irked not when she demands of you milk, honey, silver and gold, for she was delicately moulded by Adániwáyé so precariously to be adored, adorned.
Show me a man who raises his hands against this treasure and I’ll point for you a beast, worthy of permanent residence in the heartland of Sambisa.
For a gender that put their lives on the line to bring forth another in a risky cycle of nine moons per voyage, I doff my hat so, for this is the least I can do, as I cast Àtùpà this day, the symbol of womanhood, dignity of creation, mystery of Olódùmarè!
