RE: ALLEGED OF AN IMPENDING THREAT TO A PEACEFUL ELECTION: Your Despicable Act of 2019 Is Hunting You – OCMT knocks Tomide

The attention OMO Campaign Media Team (OCMT) has been drawn to a fictitious claim on a blog post that was personally written by Hon. Tomide Akinribido, purported to be “Voice of the CONCERNED CONSTITUENTS OF ONDO WEST CONSTITUENCY 1” that our peace-loving and the only endorsed candidate by the prominent associations/leaders in Ondo as their most preferred MHA choice for the seat of Ondo west constituency 1 in the March 11 election, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO) is planning an impending threat to the peaceful house of assembly election in Ondo kingdom.
Let us set the record straight, our candidate is the first MHA candidate to visit the Palace of the Osemawe after emerging from the APC primary, to pledge his total commitment to a violent free electoral process before, during and after the house of assembly election in Ondo, and to support the Osemawe and the electoral body to deliver a free, fair and credible election.
After the emergence of OMO as the MHA candidate of the ruling APC for Ondo west constituency 1, Hon. Tomide who is the candidate of the PDP and the outgoing MHA has been embarking on series of a sinister moves to revisit the violence, manipulation and grimace him and his party adopted in 2019 to emerge the winner of the election again in 202 so that the electorate in Ondo will berate our candidate and his party for unleashing mayhem to scuffle the peaceful election process.
The assertion of Hon. Tomide against our candidate on an impending threat to a peaceful election over his (OMO) tenable explanations for being unable to attend the Signed Peace Accord at the Palace of the Osemawe is highly humorous, preposterous and a sign of ludicrous call under a consequence of alcohol.
Since our candidate was lawfully given the MHA ticket of the APC and after his official visit to the Osemawe, to present himself to our revered Kabiyesi as the candidate of the APC, OMO has been working day and night with various party stakeholders both within and outside Ondo kingdom on how he will emerge the winner of the election without through the violent way that brought his PDP opponent in, four years ago.
Among the candidates vying for the Ondo West constituency 1 MHA seat, OMO is the only candidate that any act of fraud, occultism, violence, stockpiling of arms and ammunitions for electoral violence, camping of political hoodlums for the disruption of March 18 elections and stockpiling of money to induce voters can never be traced to anyway in Ondo kingdom.
The ondo kingdom will recall that in the March 2019 house of assembly in Ondo state, Hon. Tomide and his cohorts in accompany by his main political godfather (allegedly) disrupted the peaceful conduct of the election, where they were moving from one polling unit to another in Ondo west constituency 1 with their political thugs, chasing voters away from exercising their franchise.
Recall that last month, Hon. Tomide publicly insulated the ancient throne of the Osewawe, by dragging the elevated throne into politics, where he called for a debate in the Palace after positioning his political thugs, and gave them instructions to invade the Osemawe’s Palace on the day of the debate to cause pandemonium and to accuse our candidate, OMO, as their sponsor to call “a dog a bad name to hang it”.
It is now clear that after the numerous failed attempt of Hon. Tomide to perpetrate the violent act that he is known for to indict our lovely and peace-loving candidate, OMO, Tomide has now restored to cheap propaganda, peddling on blogs, and various social media platforms.
OMO will never for any reason ignore the call of Osemawe, High Chiefs and the good people of Ondo Kingdom, he has severally reiterated his commitment to the peaceful election and not the amount of media blackmail that can dent his image.
We hereby call on the Commissioner of Police in Ondo state, CP Oyeyemi Oyediran, to immediately order the arrest of the PDP MHA candidate for Ondo West constituency 1 in the March 18 election, Hon. Tomide Akinribido, for (alleged) culpable homicide of voters in 2019 state house of assembly election that produced him as the sitting MHA, as he has again (allegedly) lodged some political thugs in a hotel in Ondo, fully armed with weapons to cause violence of the day of the election. The thugs were (allegedly) imported into Ondo town, to use all means of unrest to rig Hon. Tomide to power, after the defeat of the PDP candidates in the February 25 Presidential and NASS elections in Ondo.
The constituents of Ondo west constituency 1 have resolved to massively vote OMO on March 18, to represent them in the 10th Ondo State House of Assembly.
