After their election on March 18, 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, today issued Certificates of Return to 26 newly elected members of the Ondo State House of Assembly in line with the requirements of the laws.
Making the presentation to the members-elect at event held at INEC state Headquarters, Alagbaka Akure, the Acting Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Mr Oyekola Oyelami charged them to carry out their parliamentary duties in line with mandates given to them by voters.
Speaking on the occasion, Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu represented by the Special Adviser on Legislative and political Matters, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye said the people expect much from them to better their lots.
Responding on behalf of the members-elect, the Majority Leader in the state house of assembly, Mr Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi who is a ranking member representing Owo constituency-1, assured the people of the state that the lawmakers-elect will not disappointed them.
The ceremony was attended by the State Chairmen of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin and his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Fatai Adams among other political parties leaders and supporters.
