The attention of the Chairman and other members of the Executive of ASUP RUGIPO has been drawn to a viral plaque of ‘an award of honor’ presented to one PRINCE ADESANYA AMAKA OJOMO purportedly by the Academic Staff Union of the Polytechnic, (ASUP) Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo Chapter dated 25th March, 2023.
We wish to inform the whole world that this which criminal, untrue, irresponsible, deceitful and highly primitive act of impersonation and fraudulent misrepresentation did not emanate from ASUP RUGIPO as it was never considered or conceived by the Congress, Executives or any agent of the Union.
This act is equally mischievous, ridiculous, subterfuge and a criminal misadventure that seeks, albeit unsuccessfully to undermine the reputation and integrity of Our Union which is an assemblage of thoroughbred academics.
It has therefore become absolutely sacrosanct to inform the teeming members of our Union and the public at large that we distance ourselves from the malfeasance of whoever presented the plaque to the said Adesanya Amaka Ojomo and we clearly refute this act of the usurper.
We shall proceed to distance ourselves from this criminality via conventional and new media platforms that such plaguing plaque did not emanate from the leadership or any other organ of our Union.
We shall do everything lawful to get to the root of the matter and we shall escalate every security measure to unravel the award merchants who are using the name of our Union for such nefarious activities.
Finally PRINCE ADESANYA AMAKA OJOMO is warned to refrain and desist from further brandishing the plaque issued to him in the name of ASUP RUGIPO as it is a worthless piece of wood.
