Eid-el-fitri:Ajipe urges Nigerians to pray for peace, unity
As Muslim faithful across the world celebrate Eid-el-fitri today, The Managing Director of Klick konnect Network International, Chief Dr Alex Ajipe has tasked Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, religious and political divides to fervently pray for the unity, peace and stability of the nation.
In a Sallah message signed by his Media Aide Solomon Adewoye called on Muslim faithful in Ondo State and Nigerian in general to use the occasion of this year Eid-el-fitri to join hands with the incoming Administration of the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its determination to build a peaceful and harmonious country.
Ajipe, who is the South West coordinator, Social and Humanitarian, APC presidential campaign council in the last presidential election urged adherents of Islam to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication and obedience to higher authorities.
While assuring that the administration of the incoming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will do all it can to improve the living conditions of Nigerians, Ajipe said political leaders and followers, religious leaders and their adherents must come together and forge a harmonious relationship for the love of their country.
“we should use this occasion to offer prayers to God for peaceful co-existence among different ethno-religious groups in the country. The celebration of this year’s Eid-el-fitri must draw us closer to God than ever before as well as strife to avoid negative tendencies which could further compound our fragile socio-political and economic conditions to the limit.
“We should stop the prevalence of hate speeches in the country and divisive acts and utterances that are threats to the corporate existence of the country.
“Whatever grievance anybody or any section may have before, during and after election should be expressed through proper channels and solutions sought through dialogue”
“Rather than engaging in acts capable of disrupting our peaceful co-existence as a people, I enjoin those who have issues with the last general election to toe constitutional and lawful path in seeking redress”. Ajipe said
He however, urged Muslims faithful to use the occasion of this year Eid-El-fitri to pray for the peace, progress and economic emancipation of the country under the incoming Administration.
