…..WORKERS’ DAY CELEBRATION: ONDO SSG FELICITATES WORKERS; CALLS FOR MORE SUPPORT TO AKEREDOLU’S ADMINISTRATION
The first female Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, has felicitated workers in the State on the celebration of Year 2023 Workers’ Day, just as she charged them to remain proactive and supportive to the agenda and policies of the present administration in the State.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Akure, Princess Odu emphasized that Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON, has fulfilled his promise not to owe workers salaries in the State, by paying them as and when due, approved increase in monthly pension of retirees and has been able to transform the State better than he met it since he came on board.
She urged workers in the State to reciprocate the actions of the Governor by providing needed support that would enable this administration carry out meaningful projects and leave it better than he met it.
Odu also called on workers not to relent in their efforts to deliver quality and efficient services that will yield outstanding and highly resourceful public service.
“Arakunrin Akeredolu has devotedly considered workers’ welfare as priority, so to whom much is being given, much is expected”, she said.
Speaking further, she charged workers in the State to serve as agents of change in their various beats, adding that the task of building a better Ondo State is a collective one and must be taken with all levels of diligence.
Whilst wishing workers more blissful and stress-free celebration, Odu assured all residents of the State that Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu will not relent at carrying out more life benefiting projects and programmes that will make Ondo State exemplary and outstanding among its peers.
